South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) is a dynamic, multi-site health care organization serving four rural communities in southern Grey and Bruce Counties.

SBGHC serves a community of approximately 44,000 people, plus 10,000 seasonal residents and 30,000 tourists across our four hospital sites located in Chesley, Durham, Kincardine and Walkerton. Our staff of close to 400 people provide high quality care in a friendly and safe environment.

Position: Ultrasonographer

Region: Grey and Bruce

Description: Applications are currently being accepted for a Full Time Multi-Site Ultrasonographer for the Walkerton site of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, with shifts also assigned to the Durham site.

Qualifications:

Current registration with CMIRTO, College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario
Current Registration with Sonography Canada, ARDMS considered an asset
Recent experience in a Hospital environment
Proficient in Abd, OBS, small parts, Venous Doppler, Core Biopsy
Ability to do carotid, arterial, NT, and shoulder exams an asset
Advanced computer skills with PACS experience
Ability to demonstrate quality imaging
Proven interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff
Ability to multi-task and prioritize a variety of functions
Able to work independently and co-operatively as part of a team
Must be able to provide the flexibility and availability to meet the needs of the department
Knowledge of and adherence to SBGHC Core Values (Teamwork, Empathy, Accountability, Mutual Respect, Safety)
Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at SBGHC through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes
Recent satisfactory performance with demonstrated excellence in attendance required
Knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Health & Safety and infection control principles

Salary: $36.84 - $51.77 per hour
