                                 Outpatient clinic and outreach services to patients with arthritis and related diseases to reduce pain, disability and joint damage * educates patients about their diseases to help them live active and satisfying lives
  Staff includes:- rheumatologists

 - occupational therapists
 - social workers
 - psychologists 
  conducts research in areas such as:- rheumatoid arthritis
 - osteoarthritis
 - scleroderma

                                    Related diseases include: 
 -  rheumatoid arthritis (chronic inflammatory disorder)
 - psoriatic arthritis (type of inflammatory disorder * usually appears in people living with psoriasis skin disease)
 - ankylosing spondylitis and other seronegative arthritis (type of inflammatory arthritis and autoimmune disease)
  - reactive 
arthritis (inflammatory arthritis that develops in reaction to an infection by bacteria)
 - gout (recurrent attacks of acute inflammatory arthritis that cause sudden burning pain, stiffness, and swelling in a joint)
 - scleroderma (group of rare diseases that involve the hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues)
