Open Air Burning is Suspended
Today's air quality in London, Ontario has reached an Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) of 10+ because of wildfire smoke, and Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued an Orange Warning.
Effective immediately, as per the City of London Open Air Burning Bylaw all open-air burns are suspended due to the current AQHI, which has reached the "Very High Risk" category.
This measure is intended to help protect public health during poor air quality conditions. The suspension will remain in place until AQHI conditions improve and the restriction is rescinded.
